World Vision Uganda is seeking to hire qualified persons to fill the following positions.Position : Child Protection & Advocacy OfficerReports to : Regional Advocacy Learning Centre Advisor & Global Centre (GC) Child Protection & Advocacy (CPA) SpecialistDuty station : KampalaPurpose of the position: To support the implementation of the Child Protection and Advocacy (CPA) project by overseeing the documentation process, knowledge generation and shared learning to inform programming and policy dialogue at the local and national level in Uganda and Tanzania where the project is being implemented.Key Result AreasStaff Community and Partners’ capacity development in CPASupport the staff and partners capacity in the documentation process, knowledge generation, sharing; and reports development for effective implementation of CPA in the respective Area Development Programmes (ADPs) as specified in the project documentContribute to organizational cultural change and sharing knowledge that is related to CPA.Knowledge ManagementDesign, implement and oversee systems, standards, protocols, processes and tools that will capture both the process, knowledge, practice, implications and learning from the CPA Project.Coordinate Documentation, Research and Analysis that will provide opportunities for shared learning, and evidence for policy influencing.Promote knowledge generation and sharing through capturing the best and promising organizational practices/ experiences and facilitate exchange of information internally and across the National Offices.Promote the sharing of experiences across different divisions/ projects/ units and World Vision partnership on innovative approaches in knowledge sharing, including preparation of case studies, symposiums, workshops, Conferences, informal working groups etc related to CPA and other local level advocacy approaches.Collect data periodically and input it into the CPA data base for utilization by staff and partnersDevelop monitor and evaluate the knowledge sharing program including external benchmarking on CPAExplore and establish relationships with external providers of information, tools, approaches and knowledge on Child Protection and Advocacy, for example academic and/or Research InstitutionsCoordination of CPA Training Programmes:Coordinate CPA training workshops and capacity building support for the two NOsCoordinate the development and sharing of the necessary resource materials and modules to support CPA programmingCoordinate and support documentation and sharing of lessons, processes and practice as well as defining promising standards for Child Protection and Advocacy through the Advocacy Learning CenterCoordinate production of reports and other supporting resource materials for use by National Officess in the East Africa Region.Partnership and Network BuildingEngage in strategic inter-agency collaboration, partnership and network building with government institutions and other CSOs that support the wellbeing of vulnerable childrenRequirement:Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesA Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies , Adult and Community Education and or relevant field3 years relevant work experienceSkills and experience in documentation and data collectionExperience in administrative workExperience in developing Information Education Communication (IEC) MaterialsExperience in establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organizationExperience:3 How to apply: How to apply: Qualified candidates may submit their application, including a letter of interest, complete Curriculum Vitae, via email to wvujobs@wvi.Drg.
