3 Finance and Administration Officer Employment Placements - TPO Uganda

TPO Uganda is

a national Ugandan Non- Governmental Organization that has been operating in

Uganda since 1994. TPO-Uganda services are delivered through a community and

family-oriented intervention model. We envision a society where vulnerable and

marginalized people enjoy mental health, social and economic well-being and

lead harmonious, mutually supportive and productive lives. We are also one of

the agencies responding to the South Sudan humanitarian refugee emergency.


Key

Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The incumbent will oversee the project budget at

the field office, ensuring compliance to budget ceilings and allocations.


·        
Prepare and submit monthly financial reports and

ensure timely financial reporting and filing of transactions to HQ


·        
Offer finance and admin support to field project

officers in resource planning to ensure that funds are available to implement

their work plans in a timely manner.


·        
Manage field procurement processes, placing

emphasis on value for money and due diligence.


·        
Carry out monthly reconciliation of all

transactions, crosschecking accounting information for quality and conformity

to established policies.


·        
In charge of the custody and maintenance of field

assets, office equipment and transport fleet; prepare timely fuel logs,

depreciation, safety and proper use.


Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 


·        
The applicants for the Finance and Administration

Officer vacancies must hold Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting


·        
A minimum of Level II of a professional accounting

course.


·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in a busy NGO

environment and familiar with managing multiple donor grants.


·        
Candidates from within these districts are highly

Core

Skills:
Self driven and able to work under minimal supervision; highly

organised with good level of analysis and attention to detail; problem solving

and a team player. Familiarity with accounting software will be an added

advantage.
