Retreading Factory Limited is located in Buloba along Mityana road with an

outlet at Ndeeba along Masaka Road with its Head office on Plot 10-12 Mulwana

road, Bugolobi, that sells and services new tyres for passenger cars. Masai

Tyre undertakes cold process tyre retreading using quality and premium tread

rubbers of GALGO and KRAIBURG brands imported from Europe and Mexico. We also

sell new tyres of different brands in various sizes for passenger and

commercial vehicles. Masai retreaded tyres are designed for long life to

deliver outstanding performance ensuring endurance under the harshest

conditions and terrains.

Job

Summary: The Production Manager – Retread will be in charge of planning,

organizing and controlling production to ensure that goods are produced

efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.

Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will plan a production schedule for

the job

·        
In charge of implementing and controlling the

production schedule

·        
Keen review and adjust the schedule where needed

·        
Responsible for determining the human resources

required

·        
Determine the material resources required

·        
Oversee and manage human and material resources to

meet production targets

·        
Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance,

modification and procurement

·        
Draw and implement standard operating procedures

for production operations

·        
Ensure that standard operating procedures are

adhered to

·        
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and

safety procedures

·        
Set product quality standards

·        
Actively monitor quality standards of products

·        
The incumbent will also implement and enforce

quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives

·        
Keenly analyze production and quality control to

detect and correct problems

·        
Determine and implement improvements to the

production process

·        
Prepare and maintain production reports

·        
Actively monitor and review the performance of

staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement

·        
Estimate production costs

·        
Set production budgets

·        
Manage production budgets

·        
The incumbent will implement cost control programs

·        
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination

between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

Qualifications,

Skills and Experience:  

·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a

bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering,

industrial technology. Possession of a  master’s degree is an added advantage in any

of the mentioned fields is an added advantage.

·        
A minimum of seven years’ experience operational

management.

·        
Seven or more years’ experience supervising and

training 5-10 employees

·        
Possess retreading skills, knowledge and

experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.

Broad working knowledge of quality systems and

standards
