TPO Uganda is a national Ugandan Non-
Governmental Organization that has been operating in Uganda since 1994.
TPO-Uganda services are delivered through a community and family-oriented
intervention model. We envision a society where vulnerable and marginalized

harmonious, mutually supportive and productive lives.
Job Summary: The
Project Coordinator will oversee TPO’s efforts in the DOVCU –
Decentralization of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Uganda- project in
Western Uganda (Kabarole). The Project
Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall technical leadership
to the project; including managing all aspects of project implementation;
through liaison with implementing partners and other field staff; preparing
and maintaining of reports; providing overall responsibility for the day to
day operations including finance, administration and procurement;
coordination and accountability of project activities and resource
utilization.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Social sciences, Development studies
or a related field of study. - Possession of post graduate
qualification in project management will be an added advantage. - The applicant should possess a
minimum of three years’ experience in a coordination position preferably
in the NGO sector - The applicant should have
experience in Child rights, psychosocial support, community
rehabilitation, trauma support; mental health. - Previous experience working in
local government systems, managing private/public partnerships. - Demonstrated ability to motivate
and develop a team. - Excellent organizational skills
with ability to coordinate activities. - Ability to communicate
effectively both internally and externally.
