MobiCash (U) Limited, is a universal payments solution that offers anyone with a cell phone (even the oldest of cell phones) a convenient, simple, easy to use mobile payment and banking at low transaction fees regardless of the device or the mobile network operator you use.
In our own on-going growth plan, we would like to hire quality, young, dynamic and aggressive professionals to fill the following position
This is a managerial position reporting to the Executive Director. You will be required to provide, identify and develop business opportunities for the company’s creative solutions that have been assigned by the Executive Director and are expected to work with or without supervision. You must be a disciplined person with flexible approach towards the assigned work and have multitasking abilities.
Overall Duties
Business Development
• Prepares the annual Business Development Plan; as well as prepares the annual Work Plan.
• Define and follow up of yearly targets and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies for new products and services.
• Determine new opportunities by analyzing business needs.
• Provide direction, guidance to the department to ensure alignment with the Company strategies.
• Generating leads for possible sales and follow-up sales activity
• Advising on, drafting and enforcing sales policies and processes
• Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
• Strengthen business relationships with existing and new clients
• Carry out Market analysis and deliver accurate business reports.
• Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry.
• Pro-actively hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those businesses that can benefit from our Company’s services.
• Further develop multi-tier relationships to organically grow the clients’ accounts.
• Build referral and lead generation network
• Develop the corporate brand strategy to keep the MobiCash brand in our client’s minds
• Develop and manage marketing tools and collateral for existing and new clients
• Forecast long and short-range market potential in the Uganda and the East Africa Region for Management’s analysis
• Actively and successfully manage the sales process: LEAD GENERATION; credentials pitch; asking questions; SOLUTION PITCH; negotiation; CLOSE OF DEAL; handover to the account management team
• As a representative of MobiCash at industry events and tradeshows, your professional manner and polished appearance will aid your intention of gaining new business leads and contacts
• Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
Product Development
• Coordinate with regional agency and lead in the development of new products.
• Manage customer services and maintain effective professional relationships with both vendors and agents.
• Assist merchandising and sourcing teams for all product development.
• Assist all vendors to select appropriate color and various components.
• Manage all production problems and ensure timely resolution for same.
• Monitor development process and ensure compliance to schedule and timeframe.
• Evaluate all materials for vendors and ensure compliance to standards.
• Co-ordinate with agents and design new methodologies for product development.
• Provide appropriate reports and assist in technical production to team.
• Motivate and develop direct reports. Provide appropriate guidance and support.
• Analyze current marketing trends and ensure consistency of styling with same.
• Design and maintain master spreadsheet for product development and prepare appropriate reports.
• Review all new orders and ensure accuracy of all quantities.
• Ensure compliance to all instructions from manufacturer.
• Analyze all customer requirements and industry trends and develop new product development programs.
Personal qualities, skills and experience:
Typically a candidate for the role will hold a University degree in Commerce, Business Information Systems, Computing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics and Communication Skills and is most likely to be expected to be able to demonstrate progress and achievement in their career to date. Most recently, they will have worked in a similar role where they will have worked for a minimum of 5 years.
You will have Accurate and efficient typing skills, efficient organizational skills, Good interpersonal and communication skills, Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external associates. You will also show the ability to follow through on work assignments, Ability to plan, organize and schedule work flow to meet rigid project deadlines, demonstrated ability to work with and lead a team, be detailed and customer service oriented with a high level of proficiency with various software.
Fluency in written and oral English is a pre-requisite, and all responses should be submitted in English.
