Regional Facility for DNA fingerprinting (RFDF), a service facility at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, provides DNA fingerprinting and barcoding services to law enforcing agencies, academicians and researchers. The facility is looking for suitable candidates for the position of Research Assistant.

Jobs Description : The RA will work with the DNA Examiner and assist his in various DNA analyses protocols. The job demands utmost care and precision in performing experiments. The selected candidate shall be evaluated periodically.
Emoluments : Rs .12,000/- + 20% HRA initially with subsequent revision subject to satisfactory performance.
Qualifications : First Class Postgraduate in any field of Biological Sciences.
Desirable : One year experience in DNA Fingerprinting/barcoding techniques. Degree or Diploma in Bioinformatics
Age limit : Below 30 years as on 20th June, 2013

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
