Administrative/Finance Clerk

Description: Duties and responsibilities: The HR Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the Human Resource Department, including recruitment, performance appraisal, promotions, managing disciplinary cases and ' ensuring that staffing levels are in line with the current and future needs of the organization. Working closely with MRC UK the post holder will be responsible for updating and communicating changes in employment policies and procedures and ensuring that the staff manual is kept up to date and in line with Ugandan employment law. Ensuring that the staffing costs keep within budget and allocating staff correctly to core or externally funded projects will be a vital part of the role

Reports:
? The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations
? Day to day contact with Heads of Programmes, Project Leaders, Section Heads and employees at the Unit.
? Regular interaction with the MRC Region Centre London and fellow HR Managers across the UK and The Gambia
