Job Title: Director General
Reports to: Chairman, NARO Council

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Tendering advice to the council in respect of business of the Council
• Developing strategies and operational plans to guide the councilin achieving its policy objectives
• Acting as the day-to-day link between the council and the parent ministryas well as other policy making organs

Requirements:
• A PhD in the field of Agricultural sciences, natural sciences or agricultural economics
• At least 10 years working experience in Agricultural research at senior management level
• A demonstrable track record in agricultural reseach
• Good understanding of national agricultural and rural development programs of Uganda.
