Joint Clinical
Research Centre (JCRC) is a National Ugandan Organization that was established
in 1991 as a Medical Institution and HIV/AIDS Centre of Excellence specializing
in Medical Research, Health Care and Training.
Job Summary: The Data
Assistant will be responsible for undertaking speedy, accurate and complete
entry of all Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) research data. He/she
liaises with the Head Data, QC/QA and.Clinic staff to ensure accuracy and
completeness of all data captured.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct speedy and accurate data entry of all
Patients data from patient files In OPD into Patient care and Research Database
(PCRD) and other databases in line with institutional and protocol requirements
and data base design and ensure data quality and complete data entry.
·
Carry out data cleaning and validation of research
data to meet institutional and protocol requirements.
·
Actively participates in the preparation of reports
in line institutional and protocol requirements and other ad hoc needs.
·
Ensure that data submitted for analysis is accurate
and verifiable from source document.
·
Participate in data analysis to ensure accuracy and
completeness of all data captured.
·
Regularly review and monitor source information to
ensure its relevant and accurate.
·
Provide timely feedback to database administrator on
errors, missing data and inconsistencies.
·
Ensure timely entry, verification and modification
of data into the database.
·
Perform any other duties as may be assigned to you
from time to time by the Head Data.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The ideal candidates for the Data Assistant jobs
should hold Bachelor’s degrees in Statistics, Business Administration,
Information Technology, Economics or any Social Science discipline from a
recognized institution of higher learning.
·
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in
data capture analysis and presentation.
·
The applicant must possess advanced computer skills,
particularly spreadsheets & data bases.
·
Excellent oral and writing communication skills
