and the inequity that cause it.


Job Summary: The Executive

Assistant will provide executive assistance support to the Country Director as

well as CMT and coordinate support the management of Board affairs in line with

ActionAid’s Governance Manual, policies and procedures


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The incumbent will provide secretarial support to

CMT, the Board and General Assembly in line with AAU policies and procedures


·        
In charge of developing, implementation, monitoring

and accounting of Plans and Budgets tor the CD and internal governance organs


·        
Offer cordial executive assistance support to the

Country Director and AAU Board Chair


·        
Provide legal support to AAU on all matters

impacting its operations


·        
Carry out basic research and report on areas of

interests to AAU as required by the Country Director or the Governing Body.


·        
Coordinate efforts to enhance AAU compliance to

Affiliate Agreements and Governance Framework


·        
Actively monitor the fulfillment of AAIU legal

requirements by working in liaison with organizational lawyers


·        
Coordinate the Country Director’s and Board’s

networking with coalition partners, donors, media and other stakeholders Person

·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Country

Director


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree

in Law from a recognized Institution and a PGD in Legal Practice


·        
Possession of relevant professional qualification

like ICSA would be an added advantage.


·        
At least three years’ experience working in a busy

agency or similar non- governmental organization as ActionAid.


·        
Excellent communication skills


·        
Corporate governance and legal practice


·        
Good report writing and research skills


·        
Good skills in policy drafting and implementation


·        
Excellent networking and public relations skills
