and the inequity that cause it.
Job Summary: The Fundraising
Coordinator will be tasked with developing and implementing ActionAid’s Fundraising Strategy and deliver
AAU’s specific fundraising programmes relating to institutional donors, high
value donors, major donors, trust and philanthropic foundations and corporate
giving to achieve resource mobilization targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Take charge of the development of both local and
international fundraising strategies and products targeting institutional
donors, high value donors, major donors, trusts and foundation, and corporate
donors in line with AAU fundraising strategy, CSP IV, AAI fundraising policies,
strategies and standards, and the national laws.
·
Develop fundraising sources, opportunities
·
The job holder will initiate, lead and coordinate
development two-year plans and budgets in line with fundraising strategy and
CSP IV Commitments.
·
Maintain oversight on contract management database
and share periodic performance reports in line with fundraising strategy,
policies and standards.
·
Supervise, motivate, appraise fundraising officers
and build the capacity Of staff and partners in line with Human Resources Plan
(HRP), fundraising strategy and other organizational policies.
·
Develop fundraising communications and collaterals
·
The incumbent will fundraise for projects
·
Provide administrative leadership to and control
over assets of the fundraising unit.
·
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Fundraising
Director
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The applicants for the ActionAid Fundraising
Coordinator should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business
Administration, Mass Communication or any other related discipline from a
Recognized institution
·
Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in marketing,
Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning and Management Experience;
·
At least four years of relevant working experience
preferably with an NGO with dear track record of successful fundraising.
·
At least two years of relevant experience at senior
management level
·
Excellent communication and writing skills
·
Proven planning, analytical and problem solving
skills
·
Prior exposure and experience being a member of a team
·
High degree of integrity
·
Strong Public relations and interpersonal skills
·
Exhibit commitment to develop, promote and practice
ActionAid vision, mission, values and strategies
·
Broad knowledge and understanding of donor and
philanthropy sector
