Welthungerhilfe

(WHH), founded in 1962, is today one of the biggest non-governmental aid and

development agencies in Germany. We campaign against worldwide hunger and for

sustainable food and nutrition security by promoting site-appropriate farming,

establishing access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, improving

healthcare and education for people living in rural areas.


Welthungerhilfe

started in March 2015 to implement a 39 month project “RIAS – Strengthen

Resilience through Infrastructure, Agriculture and Skills” in Arua and Adjumani

Districts possibly.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The job holder will develop and set up a monitoring

and evaluation system which meets the requirements of the donor and informs

about the performance results in all sectors


·        
Establish and manage a database, assist in data

analysis and supervise regular data collection


·        
Carry out regular project field monitoring


·        
Prepare and submit project monitoring and progress

reports.


·        
Ensure that impact of all intervention is

measurable, enhancing accountability to beneficiaries


·        
Support the management in timely and accurate

reporting


·        
Actively contribute to all project planning

activities


·        
Prepare programs for donor field visits and

accompany visitor groups


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

Officer should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Social Science,

Agriculture or any other relevant area and postgraduate training in either

M&E system, development studies, Project planning and management.


·        
At least three years’ MEL work experience in multi

sectorial rural development projects preferable with international NGOs.


·        
Broad knowledge and understanding and skills in MEL,

project cycle, logical frameworks and participatory monitoring.


·        
Prior exposure and strengths in qualitative and

quantitative research.


·        
Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Power

point, SPSS, Access etc.


·        
Excellent oral and written English skills.


·        
Familiarity with the West Nile Languages and Arabic

is an added advantage.
