Baylor College

of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor -Uganda) is a private not

for profit NGO that provides: HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services;

maternal child health services; Health Professional training and Clinical

Research.


Job Summary: The Public

Relations, Advocacy & Communications Officer will be in charge of implementing

and evaluating Baylor- Uganda’s advocacy interventions, then communicate key

issues to the key stakeholders in line with Baylor-Uganda’s advocacy and

communications policy.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The applicant should preferably hold an honors’

degree in Mass Communication (Public Relations/Media Communication).


·        
Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification

in Public relations or Communication is an added advantage.


·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in a reputable

Non-Governmental or Private Organization.


·        
Working knowledge of project planning &

management; principles of donor guidelines; with a strong understanding of

Communication and Advocacy issues.


·        
The applicant must have published some articles,

stories and presentations.


·        
Good team work


·        
Good networking skills


·        
Excellent communication skills;


·        
Excellent negotiation and partnership skills;


·        
The incumbent must be highly dynamic


·        
Highly persuasive and convincing; self-motivated


·        
Ability to demonstrate high initiative.


·        
Age: Between 27-35

years
