Uganda is Non-profit organization whose primary mission is to equip refugees

and others affected by conflict in Africa to meet the challenges of development

through providing access to education, training, and employment opportunities

by advocacy and direct programme activity. Windle Trust Uganda has been a

leading provider of access to university education, post-primary education, and

vocational training for conflict-affected Africans since 1996.


Windle Trust

Uganda (WTU) works in partnership with the UNHCR in various Refugee Settlements

operation areas in Nakivale, Oruchinga, Kyaka, Kiryandongo, Arua, Adjumani and Rwamwanja.


Job Summary: The Procurement

and Logistics Officer will ensure that all procurement and Logistics activities

for Windle Trust Uganda are done in accordance with policies and procedures,

Government laws and Donor rules and regulations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The incumbent will provide overall management

oversight to the procurement functions.


·        
He / she will coordinate the effective management of

evaluation process including constitution of evaluation team, timely evaluation

and submission to the Contracts Committee.


·        
Actively monitor and appraise Contract management

process.


·        
Oversee inventory management function and to ensure

effective management of negotiation processes.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold an Honours

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Procurement or BBA with

specialisation in Procurement and Supply Chain Management


·        
Full professional qualifications in Supply Chain

Management from a recognized Institution.


·        
A minimum of four years’ experience from a reputable

organisation.
