professionally managed industrial/service group, with an annual turnover
exceeding USD 500 million, engaged in diverse operations. Kakira Sugar is owned
by the Madhavani Group and it is extracted from cane grown on lush plantations
on the shores of Lake Victoria. The sweet, sparkling crystals with their
distinctive taste and flavour, and rich golden colour, have sweetened dishes
all over Uganda since the 1930s.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
In
charge of calculating, estimating, managing and refining all monetary costs and
expenditures associated with a construction project.
·
Attending
various construction project site meetings, taking minutes and giving detailed
reports.
·
Producing
full and detailed Bills of Quantities, with specifications, qualifications and
contract details for tender documents.
·
Producing
quantitative analysis of tender bids.
·
Responsible
for producing monthly valuations on allocated projects with comments and advice
where necessary.
·
In
charge of managing several contracts.
·
Provide
training advice and support to the Assistant Junior Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The
Quantity Surveyor should hold a relevant degree holder and must be registered
with the Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
·
A
minimum of five years’ experience in quantity surveying firm or seven (7) years
working experience with a construction company.
·
Age: 35 years and above.
