SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager is responsible for all daily supervision of local sub-contractor(s) during the construction phase of the contract. The PM will be responsible to ensure that the sub-contractor meet the requirements of the Statement of Work. This position works closely with the Program Manager to streamline support functions and ensure adequate processes are implemented and followed by the sub-contractor and to minimize delays in the construction schedule. Must be willing to work in third world country and travel daily to various job locations within the local vicinity.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Responsible to insure that sub-contractor(s) stay on schedule.

·         Interrupted Statement of work and apply it to the daily work schedule.

·         Able to provide daily guidance to sub-contractor to ensure they meet current building codes.

·         Able to make decisions on the job site as to minor changes in the construction mode to accommodate changing site conditions. 

·         Responds to Government and corporate requests for information.

·         Demonstrates safety and quality management leadership and commitment.

·         Performs related work as assigned.

MANDATORY:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         At least eight (8) years of hands-on progressively-responsible experience in logistics operations; which included property management and warehouse operations.

·         At least five (5) of the eight (8) years must have been in a management/supervisory role.

·         At least four (4) years experience in construction management operations.

·         Intermediate skill in the use of personal computers and the MS Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

·         Ability to effectively manage resources, schedules and costs.

·         Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to all levels of a diverse organization.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple high level tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the department.

·         Position requires a pre-employment drug screening, and background check.


PREFERRED:

·         Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business management, or Government contracting.

·         Prior experience with working in third world locations with limited resources available.

·         Experience working on Government contracts with responsibilities for preparing correspondence, reports, and records.
