Job Summary:  The Finance Manager will support the Micro-finance

company by ensuring effective overall management and performance of the

micro-finance business.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  


1.

Business Strategy, planning and performance:
Actively participate

in the development of the Business


·        
Implement the business strategy


·        
Develop and monitor financial and commercial plans

to support the business strategy


·        
Regularly report to the Board on a regular basis

performance of the business


·        
Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close

deals


·        
Recruit new clients while retaining existent ones


·        
Develop and monitor budgets and periodic forecasts


·        
Ensure that proper books of account are maintained

and up to date


·        
Coordinate and facilitate financial audits


·        
Ensure tax obligations are met


·        
Actively monitor contract terms to ensure renewal

and or termination requirements met


·        
Develop and implement relevant organisational

policies

Office Management and Operations:


·        
Ensure the office is run properly and efficiently


·        
Ensure that filing is done effectively and all

documents accessible to the relevant officials


·        
Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing and

training of the business staff


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  


·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a

finance-related bachelor’s degree with three years’ experience in a business

leadership position


·        
Possession of Post graduate qualification an added

advantage


·        
Hold a Valid Driving License


·        
Strong leadership skills


·        
Comfortable operating in a self-sufficient

entrepreneurship manners


·        
Strong business acumen and understanding of market

trends


·        
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient in Microsoft

Office


·        
Excellent negotiation skills


·        
Excellent communication skills


·        
Sound judgment


·        
Impeccable level of integrity


·        
Highly proactive
