Uganda is Non-profit organization whose primary mission is to equip refugees

and others affected by conflict in Africa to meet the challenges of development

through providing access to education, training, and employment opportunities

by advocacy and direct programme activity. Windle Trust Uganda has been a

leading provider of access to university education, post-primary education, and

vocational training for conflict-affected Africans since 1996.


Windle Trust

Uganda (WTU) works in partnership with the UNHCR in various Refugee Settlements

operation areas in Nakivale, Oruchinga, Kyaka, Kiryandongo, Arua, Adjumani and Rwamwanja.


Job Summary: The Regional

Manager (RM) will take charge of the overall leadership, management oversight

and strategic direction of WTU field education programmes in South West. The incumbent

will also be responsible for supervision of all field settlement heads in the

programme, Monitor the implementation of works plans and budgets, write and

submit periodic reports to the supervisor and managing relationships with

donors and partner agencies at field level. The RM will report to the Programme

Development Manager.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree

in Education with related management background. Possession of a Post Graduate

in relevant field will be an added advantage.


·        
A minimum of five years’ experience in education

programme management


·        
Prior work experience with refugees and child

protection fields is desired


·        
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain high-level

professional working relationships


·        
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.


·        
Fluency in English and local language (Mbarara) proficiency

is required.
