The Strengthening
Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally (SPRING) Project is
a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) and managed by JSI Research & Training
Institute Inc. with partners, Helen Keller International, the Manoff Group,
Save the Children, and the International Food Policy Research Institute
(IFPRI). SPRING’s overarching vision is
to reduce under-nutrition, prevent stunting, and work with women of
reproductive age and children aged 6-23 months on reducing anemia. SPRING aims
to strengthen country efforts to scale up high-impact nutrition practices and
policies to improve maternal and child nutrition outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean and road
worthy by cleaning and doing regular checklists.
·
The incumbent will check vehicle
condition/requirement and fill the Log Book properly before journey and upon
arrival.
·
Ensure proper maintenance and servicing the assigned
vehicle by alerting the supervisor on time.
·
The job holder will pick and drop official personnel
at the airport in a professional manner
·
Drive office vehicle for transportation of
authorized personnel and delivery/collection of cargo, pouch and other items
·
Prepare and submit field trips reports
·
Prepare monthly summary of fluid consumption and report
the same to supervisor by checking oil, water, battery and brakes.
·
In charge of the day-to-day maintenance of the
assigned vehicle, perform minor repairs and arrange for other related repairs
·
Ensure that the steps required by rules and
regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident
·
Adhere to all rules and regulations in relation to
the management of USAID/SPRING vehicles.
·
Ensure that the vehicle is parked in the safe places
while in the field.
·
Effectively manage the day-to-day usage of the fuel
cards.
·
Compile the transaction fuel receipts for the fuel
drawn and submit them to the supervisor on time
·
Alert the Driver Team Leader for replenishment of
fuel
·
Safeguard the fuel card pin number to avoid fraud
and to monitor card use
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The applicants for the Driver jobs must hold O
level/Ordinary certificates.
·
Hold a valid driving permit with at list 3 classes
·
Understanding of the Geographical area of
assignment.
·
Eye examination required
·
Annual physical examination required
