Ministry opportunity in child development

Application are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position in child development Ministry located in Mubende, Kabale, Soroti and Mukono Community Churches

Position:  Project Director (one) at Kacungwa Community Church
Reporting to: Overseer (Pastor Kacungwa community Church)

Duties and responsibilities of project Director
- Be an accounting officer to all ministry resources
- Be responsible for designing, implementing , monitoring and evaluation of Child development Framework
- Mentor and support development of leadership skills in Children
- Carry out project proposal development  and networking
- Uphold the protection of children’s rights and dignity
- Be consistent witness of Jesus’ Christ to children and their care givers

Person’s specification
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with a call to Children’s ministry
- Should have a bachelors degree in the field to humanities and business studies
- Additional training in child care ministry shall be an added advantage 
- Minimum of two years Experience in project planning and management
- Ability to ride motorcycle with a valid riding permit is desirable
- Ability to build and function in a team
- Shall be a role model in accountability, transparency and servant leadership
- Shall be an innovative and teachable person

Social workers (3) in Soroti Kabale and Mukono Community Churches
Reporting to the project Director 

Duties and responsibilities
- Shall ensure timely correspondences between children and their sponsors
- Shall be consistent witness of Jesus’ Christ to children and their care givers
- Shall coordinate and carry out home visits/follow ups & counseling to all registered children & caregivers with special needs.
- Shall work closely with the local church in mentoring leadership skills in children.
- Shall be involved in Holistic Child Development Programming at project level.
- Shall work together with other staff as a team to accomplish ALL planned project programs.
- Shall uphold the protection of children’s rights and dignity
- Any other duty assigned by the Project Director.

Person’s specification
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with a with a call to Children’s ministry
- Have a minimum qualification of diploma in the field of child development, development studies, social works, community development , theology and other related fields
- Shall have a call to children’s ministry with strong mentoring ability
- Experience and background in leadership skills development
- Ability to adjust and fit in rural setting
- Knowledge of local languages are desirable
