Job Summary: The Relationship Manager, Local Corporates will be responsible for the market and manage Corporate & Institutional Clients’ customer relationships through pro-active and consultative approach and detailed understanding of existing customers’ business(es) to enhance profit
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Acquire profitable new customers for the Corporate & Institutional Clients Banking business through the creation, development and maintenance of high quality advisory relationships, that includes effective consultative selling and creative structuring of financial solutions (within segmentation boundaries)Support in creating a strong product offering by providing and responding to market feedbackSignificantly contribute to the growth of the Transaction Banking Business in order to increase share of wallet per customer and increase customer Loyalty. Increase uptake /utilization of Transaction Banking products.Effectively manage a portfolio of clientsUnderstand customers’ businesses and to anticipate their requirements through consultative selling.Match customers’ needs with product capabilities through presentation of tailored proposals.Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to maximise revenue and profitability.Proactively manage new and existing Customers names within the assigned transactional banking portfolio. Ensure the Bank’s share of wallet within the portfolio is grown and maintained in line with the Bank’s account plan for the customer.To maintain a revenue pipeline featuring Incremental revenue and run off in addition to the Business as usual revenue from the portfolio as part of effectively managing this process.Offer timely feedback and assistance to all areas within Corporate & Institutional Clients banking such that the voice of customer is incorporated into ongoing plans and initiatives.To keep focussed on trends and market intelligence i.e. keep abreast of market development and factors which impact on competitiveness of the products.Creatively tailor pre-cuts to meet individual customer/ and or target segment needs.Prepare account plans for the clients in existing portfolio, Identify opportunities for cross-selling and referral to other SCB lines through developing and maintaining a close understanding of customers’ businesses.Ensure all customer meetings have defined call objectives, desired outcomes and a well constructed customer plan.Assist in scoping the market for cross border deals and work as the lead in co-coordinating them.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should possess a university Degree with sales/sales management experiencePossess the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both internally & externallyAbility to keep abreast on changes in the market, customer requirements, competitors responses and the bank’s ability to use information to identify new business opportunitiesExcellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skillsExcellent analytical skills
