Kenya: National Coordinator (HIV in East Africa)

The SRD Center is committed to quality and excellence in helping national and international agencies in the domains of education, health, and environment, to succeed through providing state-of-the art consultation services, exceptional capacity building opportunities, and sound implementation, monitoring, and post-project evaluation for humanitarian and development projects. The Center’s Head Office is located in Amman.
SRD Center is preparing a proposal for evaluation of an HIV and AIDS project in East and South Africa. The evaluation will focus on effectiveness and impact of a programme aimed at accelerating the AIDS response in East and South Africa region. However, for the purpose of the evaluation field will be limited to six countries:
Kenya;
Malawi;
Mozambique;
Tanzania;
Uganda; and
Zimbabwe.
SRD requires a national coordinator, from one of the six target countries, with experience in HIV and/or Public Health, data collection, and surveys. The role includes about 18 days of fieldwork from October 2016.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HIV and AIDS project.
Demonstrate experience in data collection and surveys activity.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in HIV and AIDS and/or public health projects in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
Demonstrate experience in project evaluation, assessment, and surveys.
Proven capacity in conducting research at the national and sub-national level, including capacity to manage, analyze, and interpret large sets of collected data and produce quality reports.
In-depth knowledge of education projects programming, gender-related dynamics.
English language capabilities are must.
Excellent writing and reporting skills.
