Job Title: BOP- Electrical Erection Supervisor
Contract (Job): 4 months contract
Location: Uganda
Qualification:
10 Years minimum of knowledge and experience in the following fields:
Installation of cable trays, cable laying, cable connection, cable ends…
Installation of LV & MV switchboards
Installation of HV equipment (Circuit breakers, Disconnecting switches, Surge arresters,…)
Installation of equipment such as switchyard, transformers, bus bars, circuit breaker
Description of Electrical erection supervisor position:
We are not looking for an office engineer but for some well skilled technician able to work on the site and to push and train local people.
The Electrical Erection Manager has direct responsibility for the management of the erection of the auxiliaries Electrical equipment called Balance of Plant (BOP) in Hydro Power Plants. The BOP Erection Manager is responsible for the following main assignments involving the installation of all BOP equipment:
Manage the erection work either in collaboration with the Erection Company or direct labour hiring.
Direct the resources implemented on the site in regards to technical assistance and supervision of the erection company in the following areas:
- Management of equipment arrivals,
- Management of storage and warehouse entrances/exits.
Document management including processing of Non conformity Report, Site modifications, Quality control, Time schedule monitoring.
Programming the work and monitoring the time schedule.
Update the erection planning in line with the objectives of the general work planning
Co-ordinate the objectives and verify the erection company’s detailed plannings,
Verify the coherence of the resources implemented by the company in regards to programmed activities, evaluation of work progress,
In collaboration with the concerned supervisors, treatment of any interface or work sequences problems appearing during work operations.
