Job Title: Director Legal Affairs/Board Secretary
Responsibilities:
• Managing the staff of the legal and compliance department.
• Establishing a system to support, implement and monitor the workings of PPDA.
• Establishing and regularly reviewing standard documents and user guides.
• Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the PPDA law.
• Taking measures to ensure compliance, rationalization and harmonization of PPDA practices.
• Developing, reviewing, streamlining, upgrading and modernizing PPDA documents.
• Ensuring compliance with the PPDA ethical code of conduct.
• Recommending the exercise of disciplinary measures against PDE’s.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in law.
• Advocate of the high court in Uganda.
• Professional qualification in procurement is added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience at a senior level in a reputable organization.
Competencies:
• Good knowledge of the public procurement regulatory frame work.
• Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, processes and disposal systems.
• Possession of analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of computer management and applications.
• Result and team oriented individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High standards of integrity.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
