Finance Manager - Kampala, Uganda
This is a rare opportunity to work for a green, eco friendly, sustainable travel company based in Africa. The business provides package holidays to Uganda and Rwanda with an emphasis on "ape/primate" conservation. They employ 150+ staff, with a Head Office in Kampala, Uganda and additional sites in Rwanda and London.
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for all the region accounting: financial and management accounting as well as managing a small finance team and supporting senior management with strategy. You will be responsible for accurate bookkeeping, implementing and fine tuning financial controls and processes and consolidate the Group Accounts. You will also be expected to travel around the region to understand the business and it sustainable goals. NB: this is still a profit making travel business.
Candidate - you will ideally be a Qualified Accountant with a generalist skill set. You will ideally have travel / tourism / leisure experience and an understanding and appreciate of the African culture. A rough timescale for this position is 24 months. There is an excellent relocation package on offer.
Remuneration - circa ?50,000 with relocation package.
