Key Accountabilities
Tasks
Lines manage the western Uganda staff team, whilst respecting technical support supervision lines which will operate from Kampala. The staff team will be comprised of technical officers, project officers, operations officers, finance and administration assistants, drivers, and support staff.Work closely with the project coordinators of the relevant projects based in Kampala to support the smooth and timely implementation of, and effective coordination between, all Malaria Consortium Uganda activities in the Region.liaise effectively as required with the operations, Logistics, Finance, and HR departments in Kampala in support the ongoing needs of the office.Provide support to all visits to the field, including for both internal and external representatives
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Degree in social science, public health or management related discipline with a post graduate diploma in project planning and management. A Masters degree in the above field will be an added advantage4 years experience in project management, including financial management, human resources, and donor liaison and reportingWork Based Skills and Competencies
Essential
Experience coordinating public health programs including with INGOs, multilaterals or donor institutionsExcellent organization skills
Experience in effectively managing diverse teamsExcellent communications and presentation skills and proficient in word -processing and data management softwareStrong networking skills and the ability to develop strong relationshipsTrack record in resource mobilizationThe candidate must also be prepared to live and wrk in HoimaHow to Apply
