The Motorcenter East Africa Ltd started as Go Nissan Ltd in 2005 as a dealership for Nissan vehicles and Suzuki motorcycles. The 3-S dealership with sales, service and showroom facilities had a mandate to promote and manage the Nissan brand in the Entebbe area. By mid 2006, the Entebbe market was saturated and as part of the growth strategy it was decided to expand our product and geographical mandate. We sourced for brands that would bring value for money to our market, and entered into distributor agreements with manufacturers in China and Thailand.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee and ensure the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant program area.Oversee the strategic projects and build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholdersSelect and oversee software installations and managing relationships with software vendorsControl income, cash flow and expenditure.Manage and supervise the finance teamPlaying a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning processFinancial modelling, analysis and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders and executive teamCompilation and preparation and review of the monthly business performance reportEnsure compliance of tax processesDevelopment and refinement of management accounting and reporting structures.Implementation of the business strategy planEnsure adherence with group policies and proceduresQualifications, Skills and Experience:The Finance Manager should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Statistics, Commerce or related degree from a recognized UniversityAt least five years’ experience in finance management in a large corporate businessACCA /CPA qualificationPossess the ability to translate financial concepts to – and to effectively collaborate with — programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgroundsExcellent track record in grants managementTechnology savvy with experience and knowledge of accounting and reporting softwareExcellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skillsPerson of high integrity and credibilityThe applicant should also be comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadline drivenStrong analytical, modelling and commercial reporting skillsAll suitably qualified and interested candidates should send with their applications the following documents: cover letter (letter of motivation or application letter), curriculum vitae and academic certificate(s).All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by e-mail to: recruitment@themotorcenter.com.
