Job Summary: The MFS Business Growth & Activation Manager will represent Ericsson as business partner towards our Mobile Financial Service customers. The incumbent has responsibility in three key areas – driving consumer uptake, new service and offerings development and creating transactions growth. The individual would be seen as a thought leader in the Mobile Financial Services (MFS) area and will be working in tandem with senior executives from customer MFS team.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Offer professional input and advice to customer team in developing Mobile Money market / country strategy and proposition and marketing plansGenerate ideas, concept validation, and business case for new opportunities and service enhancementsCreate a service roadmap and implementation plan on a quarterly basis resulting in effective subscriber uptake and service usageOversee product launch of all new propositions, products and services, ensuring effective implementation , uptake of services among target segments and hand-over to local customer proposition management teamEnsure the development of Transaction volume forecast for each market and service type on quarterly basis. Advise Ericsson’s customers on strategies to deliver transaction volume targetsEstablish a successful network of ecosystem partners for targeted marketsActively engage in business negotiations with potential and existing ecosystem partners to ensure positive outcomeMeasure and support in improving overall MFS subscriber experience and benchmark v/s competitionAct as key subject matter expertise to support Ericsson sales functions as part of pre-sales process for upsell on the mobile money platformSharing customer and market information with the Ericsson Product Management, Business Development, Finance and Technical teams in order to improve the service features and positioningQualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience of which five years are in a B2C marketing or Sales within the areas of mobile payments, money transfer, mobile money, and pre-paid cardsPast experience and good understanding of mobile commerce eco-system, preferably from transactional services or business operations for a major MFS service provider in AfricaRelevant experience from working in the CMO and product organization of a telecoms or consumers services provider in AfricaPrior experience in a business to business sales and partnering environment, and evidence of driving successful projects within mobile commerce at an international levelExcellent track record in engaging at C-level and closing contracts, demonstrated ability to translate value propositions that secure winning propositionsEntrepreneurial in nature and have the ability to recognize and create new business opportunitiesThe Ericsson MFS Business Growth & Activation Manager should be a dynamic individual who loves the challenge of combining strategic thinking with pragmatic implementation which delivers real business impactHave a consultative business approach, and known for your excellent communication and presentation skillsThe applicant should also have knowledge of inspiring business dialogues, build trust and make business profitable for all parties.Are self-motivated to develop new business and a very goal oriented individualFluent in English, both written and spokenThe candidate should also be a team player and able to work & communicate with a global team in remote locations.Ability to travel extensively both regionally and at an international travelIf you believe you are one of the ideal candidates for this opportunity in working with the world’s leading provider of telecommunications equipment & services, Ericsson, then visit the web link below for full job details and Apply Online.
