Human Resources Assistant ( FULL TIME )

CARE Uganda seeks motivated and qualified professionals to fill the position of Human Resources Assistant.

Reporting to the Country Human Resources Coordinator, the Human Resources Assistant key role will be to strengthen the human resource work in the Country office. This will be done by providing human resource support to CARE’s sub office operations in accordance with human resource policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the professional and efficient recruitment process
• Be responsible for the Medical Insurance Scheme issues within the country office
• Taking responsibility of all Personnel Records Management (Physical & Electronic)
• Accurately supporting monthly leave reporting and updating the staff list
• Oversee all administration issues like; travel insurance arrangements, Bi- annual staff orientation workshops etc
• Assist in arranging staff team building activities and staff functions

Requirement:

Person Specifications (Requirements):
• University degree in Human Resource Management and at least 3 years relevant HR experience in a similar role or Social Sciences, Administration or Management and at least 2 years HR experience in a similar role with ability to apply labor laws;
• Proven problem solving and customer service skills: the ability to successfully provide support to staff and guide (hiring) managers;
• Excellent communication skills (written correspondence, verbal communication, regular feedback)
• Pro-active, flexible, team player, motivated, with ability to work well and independently under pressure in a fast-paced team environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills for a cross-cultural work environment;
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
• Knowledge of and ability to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent telephone manners
• Excellent written, verbal and numeric skills
