Quality Engineer/Senior Materials Technician ( FULL TIME )

Position: Quality Engineer/Senior Materials Technician
Number of Vacancies: 1 (one)
Reports to: Project /Contract Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advise the Project Manager/Contract Manager during the sourcing of various construction materials for earthworks and concrete works
• Drawing up quality control and quality assurance plans
• Conduct various construction materials surveys and Investigations
• Ensure that construction materials meet the given design specifications
• Carry out tests on construction materials for the purpose of quality control
• Identify lab equipment needed for the smooth running of the lab
• Ensure compliance with work related HSE company policy guidelines, standards and as may be required by the client.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Project/Contract Manager

Qualifications and Works Experience:
• At least an Honours Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Civil Engineering or a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.
• At least 4 years’ hands on experience in quality assurance and control practices at earthworks and concrete construction sites.
• Experience on construction sites in the oil and gas sector will be added advantage.
• Must have strong decision making abilities especially in crisis under pressure.
• Good communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Should be computer literate.
• Should have a valid driving license
