Position: HSE Supervisor /Officer
Number of Vacancies: 1(One)
Reports to: HSE Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with the HSE Manager in establishing and development of an HSE Management System in line with Colas policies.
• Advise site management on strategic HSE objectives and targets consistent with the client’s Health & Safety standards and values.
• Provide an efficient auditing system, aimed at ensuring the implementation of the HSE Management System.
• Ensure implementation of methodology and practices to ensure performance improvement.
• Establish and develop the emergency response plan and monitor its implementation
• Enforce site safety rules and regulations
• Ensure that all construction site workers follow the rules defined in the HSE plan
• Carry out Job safety analyses before any construction activity is executed and advise the HSE Manager accordingly
Key Qualifications and Work Experience:
• At least an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or its equivalent health and safety training certifications with considerable field experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in health and safety which includes at least 2 years of HSE management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Must have strong decision making abilities especially in crisis under pressure.
• Experience in managing infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sectors is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

• Should have a valid driving license
