ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)
Reporting to the FINANCE MANAGER – UGANDA, the successful applicant will be based in Kampala and will be accountable for the following duties:
Monthly financial reporting and interpretation of results including variance analysis.Ensuring that the company complies with tax/tax related issues according to the Uganda laws and communicate all tax issues to head office. This is in conjunction with Finance Manager.Filling tax returns to URA and ensure that tax receipts are collected and kept safelyOversee the Uganda debtor’s collections and suppliers payments and ensure timeliness of collections and payments.Oversee-clients invoicing and ensure all jobs done are billed.Ensure that all the transactions are posted correctly in the general ledger.Monitor and ensure compliance to accounts processes and procedures.(SOP)Consolidate budgets for different contracts and ensure capex items in the budgets are purchased as per prescribed procedures.Maintain a Uganda local assets list.Requirement:This position calls for a person with the following qualifications & Skills:? University Degree in Commerce, Statistics, Economics or any related disciplines.? Professional Qualification - ACCA or CPA.? Good understanding of costing and general accounting.? 3 years relevant experience in finance at management level.? Good numerical and analytical.?
