Warehouse Manager (1 Post) ( FULL TIME )
TIBBETT & BRITTEN INTERNATIONAL LTD-UGANDA BRANCH a leading Logistics Company in the DHL Group is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidate for the position of:
Reporting to the CONTRACT OPERATIONS MANAGER – UGANDA, the successful applicant will be based in Kampala and will be accountable for the following duties:
Maximize the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities;Provide effective leadership and management to the operational and administration teamsEnsure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)Direct activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team membersWarehouse Equipment and Machines managementAbility to translate, analyze and deliver customer needs through effective operationsTo plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policyOrganize and lead the focus on improved productivity levels v Deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriateWork in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximize efficiencies and best practiceRequirement:This position calls for a person with the following qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or equivalent professional qualification?
Computer literacy a must
? 5 years experience working in a logistics and distribution company.?
4 years experience of team management
? Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation & planning skills? Knowledge of Health & Safety is a requirement.
