Job Ref: KCBU03/2014 KCB Bank Uganda which is part of KCB Group, East Africa's largest commercial bank that was established in 1896. Over the years, the Bank has grown and spread its wings into Tanzania, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi completing the East African circuit in the year 2012. Today, the Group has the largest branch network in the region with over 238 branches, 950 ATMs and 8,000 agents offering banking services on a 24/7 basis in East Africa. KCB Bank Uganda was established in the year 2007 and has grown to become one of Uganda's top ten commercial banks. Currently KCB Bank Uganda has 14 branches complemented with 16 ATMs spread on Kampala Road, Commercial Plaza, Ben Kiwanuka, Luwum Street, Oasis Mall Sixth Street, Arua, Elgon Masaba, Fort Portal, Gulu, Hoima, Lira, Mbarara and Jinja that offer trade financing, corporate and retail banking services to customers. Job Summary: The E-Channels Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, growth, and profitability of alternative channels (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, E-payments card business, money transfer services) within the Banks Retail banking Division.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Formulate and execute the e-channels Business Strategy in alignment with the KCB Uganda Business Strategic Plan.Offer strategic, direction and pace to the e- channels team across the bank.Develop and implement growth profitability models for each delivery channel.Monitor, drive and analyze overall e-channels performance against target to ensure achievement of business targets.Identify business expansion opportunities and review requests for new business outlets, ATM expansion in liaison with the branches and Regional managers to expand the market share of e-channels Business.Steer the reviews and implementation of quality operations standards, risk management and compliance in every delivery channel with the ultimate aim of reduction of operating costs.Train, Coach, mentor and develop a high performing team with clear responsibilities and accountabilities.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicant must hold a University Degree from a recognized institution.Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.Six or more years’ proven experience in Banking Channels, product development, Sales, Credit and Bank operations functions of a commercial bank at a managerial level.Significant experience operating in a multi-channels customer facing environment is essential.Past exposure and experience in the identification and management of new Channels expansion opportunities.Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to positively and dearly communicate with a variety of constituents.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish new client relationships and generate new business.Possess strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing customer focus, and in managing people in multi-cultural environmentsExcellent planning, problem solving and analytical skills
