Environmental Supervisor JB18653 - Uganda

Apply CCL () has been requested by a major international oil company to provide an Environmental Supervisor for Seismic Operations to be based in Uganda. 1 year contract. 4x4 rotation. Attractive rate / terms and conditions. Ideal candidate will hold an Environmental degree or equivalent qualification. Proven leadership capabilities, strong reporting and organisational skills. Autonomous, self motivating but active team player. RSES, Advanced Fire fighting, Advanced First aid (OGP2 level 2), advanced cause tree analysis, Hazid-Hazop techniques, Industrial health and hygiene, Risks and the human factor, Gestures and postures, Electrical risk: accreditation for non-electrical personnel, Crisis management and communication, and Management of major emergencies certificates required. Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, essential. French also advantageous. Must be eligible to reside and work in Uganda. At least 5 years of experience in supervision of environment aspects in seismic operations or in petroleum industry. Participate in the HSE committee meetings, include environmental issues; be proactively involved in daily operational meetings (held nightly and weekly). Involved in day to day field operational activities including but not limited to assessing plan of field operations from environmental (seismic) perspective, line sketch documentation, enforcement of code of environmental conduct by all field sections, oversee activities in locations classified as highly sensitive.
