THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide HSE Advisors for Seismic Operations to be based in Uganda. 1 year contract. 4x4 rotation. Attractive rate / terms and conditions.
THE PERSON
At least 5 years of experience in supervision of Health Safety and Environment aspects in seismic operations for the petroleum industry or at least the same length experience, working for the petroleum industry in remote operations like pipe laying or civil engineering. Control and update if necessary the HSE Project Plan (e.g. Risk assessment, Emergency contacts, new procedures, Contingency plans, Medevac, waste management, reporting), participation in crew Safety meetings, drills and training sessions, initiating which ever of the latter if necessary to improve performance.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree qualified candidates preferred. Proven leadership capabilities, strong reporting and organisational skills. Autonomous, self motivating but active team player. RSES, Advanced Fire fighting, Advanced First aid (OGP2 level 2), advanced cause tree analysis, Hazid-Hazop techniques, Industrial health and hygiene, Risks and the human factor, Gestures and postures, Electrical risk: accreditation for non-electrical personnel, Crisis management and communication, and Management of major emergencies certificates required. Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, essential. Must be eligible to obtain work permits to reside and work in Uganda.
