3. Job Title: Associate – Petroleum and Energy (1).
Reports To: Partner.
Job Purpose:
To contribute to the achievement of the Firm’s Petroleum and Energy strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
• Draft, review and negotiate
Petroleum and Energy agreements.
• Prepare legal opinions on Petroleum and Energy matters.
• Advise on Petroleum and Energy sector regulatory compliance.
• Manage client relations.
Qualification: Essential
• Bachelor of Laws Degree.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
• Valid practicing certificate.
Preferred
• A qualification in Petroleum and Energy Law.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a commercial law practice with hands on experience with the Petroleum/Energy sector.
Knowledge and Skills:
Planning and organization skills. Analytical skills. Multi-tasking skills. Client management skills. Negotiating skills.
