About this job

Our client Wipro is an IT Company and is seeking to recruit result driven and motivated individuals for the Vacancy above;

Reports to: Datacenter Manager

Responsible For:

1) Incident/Problem/Change Management.

2) Responsible for undertaking New Projects.

3) Managing a team of Engineers.

Job Purpose:

To support 24/7 Infrastructure on Security for Telecom account.

Key Outputs:

Support to be provided as per SLA. Understanding of technology and specific domain expertise Behavioral & Managerial Competencies. High self-drive and confidence Willingness to learn and work in teams Good problem solving skills and analytical skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong report writing s kills. Strong project management skills including successful management. Preparation of monthly and weekly dashboards and case analysis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Deliverables

Installation of security patches & bug fixes.
System health checks for all security devices.
Attend all meeting were Security and LAN issues are required.
Keeping Service Desk aprsied on all Security and LAN matters.
Proactive Monitoring critical parameters of the Network Devices.
Vulnerability scanning.
Responding to events and fixing vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure (like IDS, Checkpoint logs).
Implementation and Management of Antivirus Application.
Implementation and Management of Firewalls.
Handling Security Devices Policy configurations requests.
Configuring VPN's (site to site and remote access).
Security Device Policy recommendations and fine tuning.
Upgrading the Security Devices Software/flash image/Firewall OS.
Uploading vendor recommended patches.
Attend all meetings were Security and LAN issues are required.
Creating new users (Administrative and Privileged) and managing them.
Administrations for Network authentication servers.
Maintaining and administering network elements and devices on the NMS Configuration of new routers on the network.
Setup DNS and DHCP ServersSetup new domains in DNS , Secondary servers, replication for DNS.
Setup new WINS servers.

Vendor Management

Maintaining Database of Vendors related to Network Devices present in setup.
Escalating unresolved issues to Vendors where required.
Following up with Vendors till the resolution of the issue.
Measuring & recording the vendor performance reports.
Configure Ports for a Manageable Switch.
Configure VLAN for a Manageable Switch Network design and re-architecture.
VSAT AMC & Operations support, through their respective vendors.
WAN Link Charges and AMCs for last mile.

Monitoring

Monitoring Status of all security components and alerts.
Monitoring of firewalls.
Manage alerts for all security systems.
Spam database update status.
Monitoring Service Status (Up & Running),Virus Alerts from Critical Servers.
Logging security incidents 24X7 Monitoring of Security Devices.
Log Analysis.
Security Devices configuration Backup.
Security Device Log Management.
Security Log Monitoring.

HUB Processes

Assigning severity to the Incidents logged based on the definition.
First level analysis (investigating problems) and closure of known and low priority security incidents.
Logging Problem Ticket for unresolved Incidents.
Keeping Service Desk aprsied on all security matters.
Adhering and Implementing guidelines and policies (BS7799).
Defining Rules (like Checkpoint, PIX, IDS and Virus walls) in line with the security policy in accodance to HUB best practises.
Root Cause Analysis.
Implementation of Changes based on Hub processes.
Notifying the MTN on major incidents occurred.
Providing Reports to MTN/Program Manager as agreed with MTN.
Updating MTN On periodic intervals on the issue.
Retain principal support contracts (Software Premium Support Contracts) that would enable Wipro to get the relevant patches and bug-fixes for MTN during Incidents.
Starting and stopping of Network Devices, whenever required.
Attending Network related issues on the LAN front with respect to System network issues, Port & cable issues.

Incident & Problem Management

Tracking and Co-ordination of all incidents/problems till resolution.
Identification of probable causes of failures in the WAN environment.
Analyze Impact of associated systems, which can affect the WAN, availability.
Defining methodologies/workaround to address the probable causes of failures in case of incident or emergency.
Recommend on the possible solution/workaround to address the probable causes of failure.
Performing router, switch, and modem reconfiguration.
Coordinating with the vendors for the WAN uptime.
Managing incident on all devices which are not remotely manageable.

Configuration Management

Maintain connectivity maps of the WAN environment, detailing the connectivity and type of communication medium deployed.
Maintaining protocol address registers and record changes, additions or deletions of sites.
Monitor and control configuration aspects like IP address, subnet maskMaintain a repository of the IOS images standardized for the WAN environment.

Capacity & Availability Management

Usage and Bandwidth Analysis.
Recommendations to MTN for upgrades, consolidation.
Analyze traffic and identify opportunities for setting QOS for the business services.
Analyze use of the Network services like DHCP and WINS and recommend consolidation, distribution of the services.

Licenses

Aprise the senior manager on all License issues in your area.
Aprise the senior manager on all contract issues in your area.

Backups

Perform backups of relevant system configurations.
Configuration Backup & Recovery Drills.
Backup configuration files periodically or otherwise as and when changes are affected.
Conducting drills based on defined redundancies and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Full time Bachelor in Science/Engineering/Technology.
Certification: Checkpoint/Juniper.
Competence: Firewalls- Checkpoint/Juniper.
Appliances: Web security / Email Security & Antivirus.
