Materials Team Lead - Uganda

The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role supports out clients projects in Uganda.

The Role:
Job Purpose:
To lead materials teams and provide recommendation and implementation to the in-country Material supply and management strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Leads and motivates the Ugandan materials team o deliver materials and deliver materials supply and management strategy.
Takes lead position in planning, execution and evaluation of the strategy.
Manages the materials team wrt to objectives , personnel evaluation, technical training and general logistics support.
Interact with the HSE Dept. to agree on objectives and reporting tools.
Manage inventory (including plant spares and drilling inventory) in compliance with out client's approved procedures and processes and other industry standards.
Ensure finance Engineering and interact with the finance Dept wrt to budget cost monitoring tools and inventory volume reconciliation
Report on procurement planning and expediting wrt materials support to client as per operational requirements and anticipation of inventory volume with team
In-country focal point for EMMS process
Act as operational focal point for all material related issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive Proven experience in materials team supervision working directly for the operator.
Comprehensive SCM experience with all discipline required.
Experience working in Africa.
Relevant academic qualifications. Preferably degree or Diploma level in business management or related subject, or in Mechanical Engineering. CIPS preferred.
