Share An Opportunity – Uganda’s key thematic areas are child health, Basic Education for OVC’s, Child Advocacy, Enterprise Development and food security, and institutional development for community based organisations while HIV/AIDS is mainstreamed in the programJob Summary:  The Programme Manager will mainly;Support the Country Director in the development of an appropriate sustainable development programme through appropriate programmes and strategies.Manage SAO Uganda programme implementation, work plans and coordination.Oversee the proposal development process including operational documents.Actively facilitate staff capacity building.Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Design programmes and activitiesManage and supervise programme implementationMake sure that programme’s strategic objectives are metCarry out periodic reviews and assessment of project implementation of planned activitiesManage the development of organisational proposals including the annuals onesRaise funds for the different projects of the programmes, which is resource mobilisationCompile and prepare ensure timely reports are presented to the Country DirectorOffer backstopping services to the Regional CentresMake sure that training of staff on the different levels of the programme approaches or designDevelop programme tools at different levels of the programme designEnsure regular and periodic monitoring and evaluation of programme activitiesMake sure that all programme activities are in line with the organisational goals and objectivesMake sure that the programme resources are allocated appropriatelyReview and approve quarterly work plans and financial requests from regions before sending to Finance departmentSpecific role is to plan financial forecasts for programme needs with Director and Finance MangerManage and supervise the operations of the regions.Perform any other assignments as management may direct.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  The ideal candidate should hold an honours degree in Social Sciences or the equivalent plus post-graduate degree in Management or MA or MBA with a bias in Development Studies.The applicant must have a minimum of seven years’working experience in development and resource mobilisation Management, 4 of which should have been in a managerial position.Excellent interpersonal communication and report writing skills, open-minded and well composed.Resource Mobilisation skills.Project planning and development skills.Possess good management skillsGood, competitive, highly level efficient, effective well designed and supervised programmes.All candidates are encouraged to send their applications and supporting documents including copies of academic qualifications, curriculum vitae (CV) indicating names plus telephone contacts of three professional referees and Pastor/Church leader’s recommendation should be posted or hand delivered to:The National Director, Share An Opportunity Uganda,Plot 1448, Kitala Zone, Kanyanya, Gayaza RDP.O.
