Research Officer - East, (entral and South Africa (E(SA Region) Programs location: Ideally to be located In Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania Sightsavers has an opportunity for an experienced Researcher with a strong interest in health and disability research to join its Policy & Strategic Programme Support team. The post holder will work with our global research team and will be responsible for supporting research and other evidence generating activities within Sightsavers' health, education and social inclusion programs in in East, Central and South Africa region. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics or a related discipline. You will have a good knowledge of different research methods including both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Candidates with a good knowledge and experience of research in Sub-Saharan Africa will be of particular interest. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to plan and supervise research projects are essential for this position, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The postholder must be able to travel for up to 16 weeks a year.
