Organisation: Atomic Energy Council (AEC)Duty Station:  Kampala, UgandaThe Atomic Energy Council (AEC) is a Government agency established by the Atomic Energy Act. 2008 Cap 143, Laws of Uganda, with the mandate to regulate the peaceful applications and management of ionizing radiation for the protection and safety of society and the environment from the dangers resulting from ionizing radiation; provide for the regulation of the development of nuclear energy for use in power generation in compliance with international safety requirements. Qualifications, Skills and Experience:The applicants should hold First Class or Second Class Bachelors degree in Nuclear Science, Physics, Electronics and Communications Sciences, Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering. Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Health. Medical Physics. Radiation Protection or Radiation Physics. A minimum of three years’ experience in the nuclear environment or related field. Possession of Masters degree in the related field will be an added advantage. Effective oral and written communication skillsExcellent planning and organisation skillsGood research and report writing skillsStrong analytical and critical reasoning skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsHigh level of integrity and confidentiality All suitably qualified and interested candidates should send detailed CVs, application letters plus photocopies of certified academic transcripts and certificates, names and addresses of three referees and your day time contact.
