Monitoring

Monitoring Status of all security components and alerts.
Monitoring of firewalls.
Manage alerts for all security systems.
Spam database update status.
Monitoring Service Status (Up & Running),Virus Alerts from Critical Servers.
Logging security incidents 24X7 Monitoring of Security Devices.
Log Analysis.
Security Devices configuration Backup.
Security Device Log Management.
Security Log Monitoring.

HUB Processes

Assigning severity to the Incidents logged based on the definition.
First level analysis (investigating problems) and closure of known and low priority security incidents.
Logging Problem Ticket for unresolved Incidents.
Keeping Service Desk aprsied on all security matters.
Adhering and Implementing guidelines and policies (BS7799).
Defining Rules (like Checkpoint, PIX, IDS and Virus walls) in line with the security policy in accodance to HUB best practises.
Root Cause Analysis.
Implementation of Changes based on Hub processes.
Notifying the MTN on major incidents occurred.
Providing Reports to MTN/Program Manager as agreed with MTN.
Updating MTN On periodic intervals on the issue.
Retain principal support contracts (Software Premium Support Contracts) that would enable Wipro to get the relevant patches and bug-fixes for MTN during Incidents.
Starting and stopping of Network Devices, whenever required.
Attending Network related issues on the LAN front with respect to System network issues, Port & cable issues.

Incident & Problem Management

Tracking and Co-ordination of all incidents/problems till resolution.
Identification of probable causes of failures in the WAN environment.
Analyze Impact of associated systems, which can affect the WAN, availability.
Defining methodologies/workaround to address the probable causes of failures in case of incident or emergency.
Recommend on the possible solution/workaround to address the probable causes of failure.
Performing router, switch, and modem reconfiguration.
Coordinating with the vendors for the WAN uptime.
Managing incident on all devices which are not remotely manageable.

Configuration Management

Maintain connectivity maps of the WAN environment, detailing the connectivity and type of communication medium deployed.
Maintaining protocol address registers and record changes, additions or deletions of sites.
Monitor and control configuration aspects like IP address, subnet maskMaintain a repository of the IOS images standardized for the WAN environment.

Capacity & Availability Management

Usage and Bandwidth Analysis.
Recommendations to MTN for upgrades, consolidation.
Analyze traffic and identify opportunities for setting QOS for the business services.
Analyze use of the Network services like DHCP and WINS and recommend consolidation, distribution of the services.

Licenses

Aprise the senior manager on all License issues in your area.

Backups

Perform backups of relevant system configurations.

The purpose of this role is to:
Determine and develop resolution to an assortment of problems encountered at the wellsite of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Work with Customer Representative and drill crew on location to coordinate operations with the rig and or production facility.

Supervise crew and equipment at the wellsite and at the shop to provide specific logging and completions services.

Assist with the training of assigned personnel in completions operations and maintenance.
Promote and maintain good customer relations.
Perform all required responsibilities safely and as described in Managing Base Operations, Managing Well Operations, and Managing Equipment and Logistics manuals.

University Degree in Engineering or Applied Science required.

In order to carry out its functions efficiently and effectively, the Institute seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person in the following full time post:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing efficient office management including:

(i) Ensuring that offices under your charge are well

maintained to reflect an image befitting the status of

the Chief Executive of Uganda Management Institute

(ii) Managing the Director General’s diary

{iii) Handling all correspondence to and from the Director

General’s office

(iv) Organizing meetings called by the Director General

and taking minutes where necessary

(v) Developing and managing the budget for the Director

General’s office

(vi) Setting work targets for the Office Assistant attached

to the Directorate and overseeing his/her performance (vii) Taking dictation from the Director General, transcribing

the dictation and producing hard copies for signature

(viii) Writing briefs for the Director General’s attention and

Action.

(ix) Handling all communications from and to the director General

and arranging for appropriate hospitality

(xi) Liaising with the HR and Administration Manager on the Director General’s travel arrangements
