Currently operating in 14 different countries BBOXX has already electrified 200,000 people. We are aiming to make that number 20 million by the year 2020. Unlike other off-grid solar providers, BBOXX controls the whole process from design to manufacture to distribution and financing.Job Summary: The Regional Manager will ensure our innovative plug & play solar systems continue to meet the energy needs and desires of the Ugandan people.Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Identify new areas in your region for BBOXX to expand intoIdentify HR and infrastructure needs of assigned region and develop long-term plan, in cooperation with the Expansion OfficerIdentify key revenue drivers for BXCU and ensure implementations to generate growthReview targets (both pay plan and wholesale) on a monthly basis and give target recommendations to HQ based on the socio-economic situation of the regionIntuitively establish Hubs and Shops in your assigned region in collaboration with the Expansions OfficerSet objectives for, and assess individual performance of, Hub ManagersPlan for the recruitment and retention of employees, conduct effective inductions for new starters and put in place processes for prompt replacement of leavers to meet business requirementsIntuitively coordinate training and coaching of Hub staff, in collaboration with the Head of HR & Training (based at HQ)Designing and delivering on budget agreed with HQDevelop, implement and periodically review the sales and marketing strategy for BXCU in your assigned region, making any adjustments in collaboration with Country Sales ManagerEstablish BBOXX in new areas of the assigned region, setting up Hubs and the first 4-5 shops around each (including staff)Work closely with regional third parties to raise awareness raising and marketing such as government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, agricultural cooperatives, and other relevant groupsReport on performance of your region to Managing Director in a timely and accurate mannerQualifications, Skills and Experience:  The candidate should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, energy, or related fieldAt least two years’ experience in sales/distribution for a fast-paced service companySales driven, but with an eye toward overall business performanceGood leadership skills yet able to work in a teamHighly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionExcellent reporting skills and able to meet deadlinesExcellent analytical skills, attention to detailsComputer literacy skills i.e. proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and emailsFast and flexible thinkerPossess a valid driving permitField experience; previous work and so knowledge of rural Uganda will be highly desirableWorking knowledge of other regional languages spoken in UgandaGood empathy skills a plusPast exposure and experience working with solar; specifically solar home systems and added advantageLanguage proficiency i.e. excellent in both spoken and written EnglishFluent in LugandaIf you deem yourself ideal for this vacancy, please send your C.V. and a cover letter to d.murray@bboxx.co.uk.
