E-Learning Manager. – Uganda Christian University (UCU)

The E-Learning Manager will oversee UCU eLearning process which involves designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing computer-based training modules on eLearning platforms.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Create interactive multimedia instruction content outlines, flowcharts, and storyboards that address written, visual, and audio requirements.
· Develop and maintain course support materials, files and documentation.
· Design, modify, develop, write and implement computer-based training modules using appropriate software.
· Write scripts, and/or translates curricula, to match comprehension level of target audience.
· Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to adapt course content to online delivery.
· Properly document, design and develop work in accordance with lecturer’s requirements.
· Identify hardware and software solutions for web-based instructional products.
· Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree preferably in IT and/or Education from a recognized institution of higher learning. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with at least an upper second from a recognized institution of higher learning.
· At least three years’ experience managing e-Learning platforms and operating computer-based and/or web-based applications.
· Detailed knowledge and understanding of educational technology and how to use it effectively.
· Working knowledge of best practices and instructional strategies for eLearning.
· Ability to use a variety of eLearning authoring and/or software applications packages.
· Possess the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Must be a committed practicing Christian.
