Job Summary: The Program Focus Area- Coordinator Sustainable Livelihoods will offer overall leadership and direction in Planning, implementation, Monitoring and evaluation of the sustainable livelihoods work in line with CSP-IV and relevant organizational policies.           Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Offer technical support and undertake resource mobilization tasks in line with CSP IV and organizational PoliciesDevelop, lead the implementation and monitoring of sustainable livelihood strategies for guiding planning and implementation, communicate and provide support to respective units in line with the CSP IV and organizational PoliciesMonitor livelihoods programmes, communicate and consolidate reports and submit to the Policy manager in line with the organizational accountability systems’ requirementsOffer technical assistance and strengthen the capacity of staff and partners for quality programming in line with CSP IV and organizational PoliciesPerform contextual analysis, research and analyze policies for generation of evidence for policy advocacy and campaigns in line with the CSP and AA theory of changeRoutinely engage in and coordinate local, national and international policy advocacy and campaign work in line with AA theory of changeMobilize, coordinate and support the building and strengthening networks, coalitions, alliances and relationships with other stakeholders at all levels (local, national, regional and international) in line with AAIU theory of changePlan, coordinate and implement Emergency Response Interventions in line with organizational policiesQualifications, Skills and Experience:  The ideal candidate for this vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies or any other relevant degree from a reputable institution.Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification and training in rights based approaches, food security, participatory methods and policy analysis is an added advantage.A minimum of three to four years’ relevant working experience from a recognized institutionDetailed knowledge of sustainable livelihoods approachesKnowledge in food securityIntegrated Climate change approaches knowledge Detailed knowledge of planning and budgetingSkills and expertise in participatory methods PVA, TDIDetailed understanding of Governance, Women rights, gender and poverty analysisSignificant working knowledge of Project proposal development and Resource mobilizationKnowledge of human rights and democracySkills in civic education and empowermentKnowledge of International Humanitarian SectorGood Communication skillsYouth programming skillsExcellent report writing and record keeping skillsAwareness raising skillsTeam work and team building skillsPossess a high level of confidentiallyExcellent interpersonal skillsGood people management and team work skills Research methodologies, Policy analysis and formulationSkills in partner capacity assessment and developmentExcellent networking, partner mobilization and advocacy skillsKnowledge and understanding of contracts managementEmergence assessment, deployment and response skillsConflict and Peace analysis/building skillsAll qualified and interested candidates should deliver their application letters, CVs and copies of Academic documents with details of at least three (3) referees one of which shall be from your most recent employer.
