The Bank of

Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on

the 15th August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is

not a government Department.  Bank of

Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of

Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is

responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.


Job Summary:  The Disposal Officer will support the Central

Bank in the provision of support and ensure timely disposal of Bank Assets.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
Offer timely support in the preparation of

Consolidated Disposal Plan.


·        
The incumbent will also prepare disposal

solicitation documents and notices for approval.


·        
Provide support in receipt, closing and opening of

disposal bid submissions.


·        
Actively participate in evaluation of disposal bids

and preparation of disposal reports.


·        
Manage the issuance of assets to the winning

bidders.


·        
The incumbent will develop and maintain a database

of all disposed of assets.


·        
Maintain up to date disposal files in compliance

with the relevant laws.


·        
Actively monitor Disposal contracts.


·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head

Contracts, Administration & Disposal Section.


Key Performance Indicators:


·        
Timely Disposal of boarded assets.


·        
Timely reports on Disposal.


·        
Complete disposal file for each disposal handled.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 


·        
The Bank of Uganda Disposal Officer should hold a First

Class or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree in Procurement. Possession of a Master’s

degree or Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above disciplines is an added

advantage.


·        
Possession of Professional qualification in the

field of procurement such as CIPS, CIPP, is highly desirable.


·        
No prior experience required. However, two years of

related working experience in procurement is highly desirable.


·        
Excellent analytical skills.


·        
Computer literacy skills


·        
Excellent organizational and communication skills.


·        
Good team player.


·        
Age: 23 to 30

years.
