6. Title: Project Focal Persons, Manafwa River Basin Project (3 Positions ) Grade: UR 7.1
Reports to: Project Manager – MRBP Location: Bududa, Manalwa and Butaleja Districts Duration: One Year
Job Summary:
The Project Focal Persons will be part of the URCS DM team and be primarily responsible for the branch level implementation of the Manafwa River basin Program in Bududa, Manafwa and Butaleja districts supported by the American Red Cross. :\
Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Leads the branch level implementation of Manafwa River Basin Project according to the project design.
• Mentors Community groups on project requirements and accomplishments.
• Generates and submits all timely branch reports in agreed formats.
• Identifies training needs in the communities and participates in filling any gaps.
• Establishes small-scale local level risk reduction projects and preparedness for response measures that strengthens disaster resilience through a community lead approaches.
• Accountable for effective utilization and timely accounting of project resources.
• Responsible for initiation and drawing of branch level project work plans in line with the agreed budgets and activities with AMCROSS.
Minimum qualifications and working experience:
The person must have a minimum of a diploma in Development Studies, Project Planning and Management, M&E or relevant field. Experience in specific community managed risk reduction projects. Experience in adult education a plus. Knowledge of participatory development approaches is essential. Experience in program planning and managing budgets is an added value. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sensitive to diversity, flexible and adaptable with strong analytical skills, computer literate, guiding risk assessments, ability to work under pressure with limited supervision, team player, result oriented with a passion for humanitarian work.
