3. Regional Coordinator Livestock (positions 02)
Job location: Country Office in Kampala (Female candidates are encouraged to apply)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities will include and NOT limited to;
• Liaising and interacting with concerned NGO’s, GO’S and Professional bodies as per need of the implementation
• Preparing effective work plan and program schedules, monitoring time-frame and reporting to project reflection critically to supply poultry and livestock
• Preparation of different reports, like activity reports, progress reports, evaluation reports, accounts statements, etc. on time
• Coordinating and monitoring all the poultry activities both in public and private sectors
• Coordinating on-going technical programs like commercial poultry ie. layer and broiler rearing, cow, sheep and goat rearing, poultry feed marketing and livestock fattening
• To provide technical support and training to the Area Livestock Promotion Officer and poultry farmers for providing quality chicks and required expected growth of broiler in due time
• Event management as workshops, seminars and essential meetings and field visits at all levels
• Responsible for processing and supplying of services of day old chicks and vaccinate them through volunteers on daily basis
• Be responsible for overall supervision of all poultry and livestock extension services
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must be a holder of BVM from a recognized University/ Institution
• Computer literacy is a must, especially micro soft office Applications/Power point
• Ability to coordinate work with all the other staff, including the immediate supervisor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Applicants must be within 30 years of Age.
