Job Objective
Reporting to the Project Officer, the Project Assistant will provide technical guidance in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the CDC 1020 Project with specific focus on increasing HIV prevention through promotion of BCC strategies, and sealing up SMC with the relevant stakeholders.

Description of duties
* Work with various stakeholders to design and plan outreach initiatives and mobilise communities to attend health promotion and HIV prevention activities.
* Support Village Health Teams to promote sensitization, HCT and other HIV-related services, referrals and awareness-raising about HIV prevention and Safe Male Circumcision.
* Coordinate the design and implementation of BCC and other relevant health education activities.
* Build stakeholder capacity to implement HIV prevention and HIV/TB collaborative activities independently.
* Increase community participation in HIV, STI, ANC, PMTCT, and other relevant inte?grated health area activities using established structures and civil society partnerships health area activities using established structures and civil society partnerships
to prevent HIV infection; provide follow-up support throughout the project implement Him process.
* Coordinate the identification of procurement needs, especially of surgical equipment and sundries for SMC; manage inventory and distribution documentation and ensure an accurate inventory.
* Establish, coordinate and monitor a participatory, community-based monitoring system for activities using VHTs, and integrate lessons learned into the overall project strategy.
* Collect indicative data from health units and process it for monitoring, evaluation and reporting purposes.
* Manage and account for resources allocated to HIV project activities.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
